“ Decent Chinese take out food. They also have eight tables to accommodate a lunch crowd. The owner and family appear to all work there, and they can handle a large volume of orders. ”
“ King Wah Chinese is probably the best Chinese like ever. The food is always fresh. The neighborhood is kind of sketchy of course, it's Hempstead, so expect Hempstead. However no one will bother you. I usually order a myriad of things from here, but I try to always get their chicken wings. Yummy yummy. Their fried plantain is good too. I also get the chicken and shrimp with broccoli and white rice. The only thing I don't like is that they don't accept cards or Apple/Samsung/Google Pay and they don't deliver. Those are two of the worst things. It's just an inconvenience. So if I don't have cash I have to go to the bank. Overall though, the food is good, I've never had a problem. ”
“ As far as it goes for a Chinese restaurant, King Wah is really good. The food is generally fresh and tasty. I've never had a bad experience with their food. The only thing that I don't like is that they don't take credit or debit cards and they don't deliver. There have been plenty of times I've been craving Chinese food and had to order from another Chinese restaurant because I didn't have cash on me at the time. There also isn't an ATM near to withdraw money. But definitely if you have cash, King Wah is probably the best Chinese food in Hempstead. ”

“ Like said above kind of a bad area but food is great hot and the place is clean. Can't ask for much more from a take out Chinese joint. All the standards like most American Chinese places plus a lot of American dishes too since its in a Spanish area. ”
“ I'm a fan of King Wah. It's great that it's in a sketchy area and they have workers who speak Spanish! The tv is tuned to Spanish speaking television. It's a godsend compared to the fake out Chinese food that Hofstra University tries to dish up for Chinese conference patrons. Love the boneless ribs and chicken. Fried plantains are the savory and not sweet type. CASH ONLY! There are basic table booths (about 4 where at least 4 adults can be seated). Oh yeah for $5.50 you can get 1/2 Fried Chicken with either fried rice, fries, or fried plantains. They also have super delicacies like fried chicken gizzards if you are into that kind of thing. Beware, the pink sauce that we DCers' think is mumbo sauce us actually hot sauce. ”
